Tom Verhoef’s work is inspired by dreams and the subconscious. It is of course not always apparent, but he believes these two things intertwine into absolutely everything.
He usually uses slightly more saturated, bright and vibrant colours than are seen in reality. Starting with just a loose meaning or story, he hopes the personal story behind his artwork doesn’t reflect the viewer’s interpretation, because everyone should and does interpret the material world differently.
